BURLEY, Idaho -- When Round 3 of the AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series launches into action, Saturday, April 30, at Stockton 99 Speedway, Nick Lynch and the Lynch Mob Motorsports crew will be ready to mount a charge.
Piloting the No.29 Mr. Gas Chevrolet, Lynch is looking to earn a top finishing position that will catapult him forward in this year's point's chase. "We are currently sitting in 11th just 10 points out of 10th and 31 points out of 5th," says the Burley, Idaho native. A good finish would go a long way in moving us up and that's what we are aiming for."
Competing in two events at the historic Stockton 99 Speedway last season, Lynch showed his ability behind the wheel earning a 5th and 9th place finish. "Stockton is a tight, tough little track," says Lynch. "From the minute the green flag drops right up to the Checkered, it is non-stop wheel-to-wheel action. "If you are lucky enough to finish in the top, you really feel like you have accomplished something."
One of NASCAR's rising young stars, Lynch is just in his second year of professional racing. A graduate of Arizona State, his desire to win is evident. "The competition in this series is really intense this season," says Lynch. There are a number of drivers who can easily win on any given day. We are really geared up for it this year. Last season was a great learning curve and I gained a tremendous amount of confidence during the second. Now I'm ready to go and so is our crew. We will be testing all day Friday and that is a definite advantage, as we will have the chance to really make our Mr. Gas Chevy perfect both for qualifying and for the race. We have a great car and a terrific car and with everyone's combined knowledge, we will be good to go come race time."
Qualifying for the 100 Lap/25 Mile event takes place at 4:45PM on Saturday, April 30, with race action blasting off at 7:45PM.![]()
