STOCKTON, California. - Scott Lynch led flag-to-flag to win the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series portion of the AutoZone Twin Championships presented by Havoline at Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway on Saturday.
Lynch held off a challenge in a final two-lap run to the finish, as the race distance was extended due to a late-race caution.
It was the second consecutive race in which Lynch saw his lead erased by a caution in the final laps. Unlike a week ago at Phoenix in which he lost the lead in a three-way battle on the final lap, Lynch pulled away in his run to the checkered flag. He won by .459 of a second over Mike Duncan. Third went to Mike David.
With his win, Lynch padded his lead in the championship standings.
