Under ideal weather conditions, Tucson Raceway Park presented a jam packed night full of NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series racing excitement. The Super Late Model division put the seventh different driver in victory lane in seven events this season. Chad Bowden powered his way to a convincing victory after a rocky start in 2005. Bowden had been caught in wrecks, mechanical problems and pure bad luck in the start of the Super Late Model season, but Bowden put it behind him by winning the Super Late Model feature event. Bowden is added to the seven driver list entered into the season ending, big money payoff, Bud Shoot Out event on October 1, 2005.
NASCAR Late Model action returned with Brandon Schilling becoming the fifth winner in eight races. Grand American Modified rookie powerhouse, T.J. Simmons grabbed his second victory and Mike Shipyor returned to his glory in a convincing Factory Stock main event win. INEX Legends Cars battled Saturday night at Tucson Raceway Park where Chris Weilenmann held on to his first win. INEX Bandolero driver Austin Trebilcock survived earlier crashes and gathered his first win in that division
