Date: 07/10/2005
Mid-Season Champions were honored as Joe Paladenic leads the Super Late Models, Tim Blodgett the NASCAR Late Models, P.J. Megna in the Grand American Modifieds, Mighty Compact leader Mike Vaughan and Mike Shipyor is the Factory Stock leader by 2 points over Jerry Gaede. Brice Bonnett was the big winner claiming both the Super Late Model and the NASCAR Late Model main events. The Super Late Model victory was almost taken away on the last lap as Chad Bowden ran side by side with Bonnett. Bowden got caught up in slower traffic and settled for second place. Points leader, Joe Paladenic ended up third, defending Super Late Model Champion, Ron Norman came home fourth and Matt Levin rounded out the top five. The red flag flew on lap 11 when Bobby Collister blasted the styrofoam barrier at the track entrance. Collister was shaken but not injured. The NASCAR Late Models returned with Brice Bonnett landing in victory lane. Bonnett running part time in the division with his Aaron's Dream Machine led from the front row and held off the hard charging Scott Strachan. Last race winner, Tim Blodgett came home third. Alan Levin took fourth and Richard Kerr ended up fifth. Mike Vaughan powered his Mighty Compact to his amazing 9th victory. Jim Bates, the only other driver to win a feature race, suffered a heat race incident and was not a factor in the main event. Shane Olsen took home second, Robert VonColln came home third, David Bosley was fourth and Tammy Lynn rounded out the top five. Grand American Modified's P.J. Megna took his third straight win after taking the lead on lap seven of the 25 lap main event from T.J. Simmons. Simmons and Megna pulled away from the field, but had a great side by side battle until the checkered flag flew. Megna gets his fifth victory, Simmons settled for second, Carl Thomae took third, Bill Slocum brought his Ford powered modified into fourth and Jim Rogel ended up fifth. The INEX Legend cars competed for a starting spot in the INEX Legend Car National and Matt Williams started the night with fast time of 18.025 in qualifying and ended up in victory lane after 40 grueling laps in the main event. Dean Abbey battled with Williams the entire race and on the last lap got loose going for the lead and settled for second place. Steven Abbey held on for third, Chris Weilenmann came home fourth and Wes Fry took the fifth spot. INEX Bandoleros returned and put another name in the winner's chart. Houston Franco took his first win of the season. Two time winner, Blake Leuth, came home second, Connor Kassik took third, Greyson Weaver ended up fourth and last race winner, Romano Cionni rounded out the top five.
