SARAH FISHER MOST POPULAR RACINGWEST.COM DRIVER

Sarah Fisher, voted an IRL most popular driver 3 times, is just as popular with the RacingWest.com users as she is with her IRL fans.

RacingWest recently ran a report on the most requested driver pages based on a date range of January 1 to July 11th. The search included the http://www.racingwest.com/drivers/ URL and its extensions. Fisher was the prevailing favorite of all drivers searched.

Fisher was the first woman in history to record fast time in an IRL race is currently driving for Bill McAnally Racing and Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR developmental driver program.

As popular as she is the sponsorship problems that beleaguered her in the IRL series seem to be tailing her in the NASCAR West Series. Fisher started out the season with Dominoes and Levi Strauss on her hood. Fans were on message boards telling each other to, “Go out and buy a pair of Levis and an extra large Dominoes Pizza before watching Fisher race live on HDNet TV.”

But the Levis decal was a one-race deal and fans are now left guessing who will be next to adorn the hood of Fisher’s #20 NASCAR West Series Chevrolet and the T-Shirts they will wear in support of their chosen driver.
