DAYTONA BEACH, Florida -- Chris Spieker and Joe Kosiski have started to pull away from the field in their pursuit of the championship in Division II of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series.

Spieker of Massena, Iowa, leads the division standings with 1,016 points. After finishing ninth at his home track of Adams County Speedway on Saturday – Spieker padded his points with a runner-up finish at I-80 Speedway at Nebraska Raceway Park in Greenwood, Neb., on Sunday.

Kosiski of Omaha, Neb., is keeping the pressure on – adding two top-five finishes over the weekend. He finished third at Adams County Speedway and fifth at I-80 Speedway.

NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Divisional point standings are calculated using each driver’s best results from any races held at tracks within their division. Adams County Speedway and I-80 Speedway are both in Division II – meaning drivers can race at both tracks and accumulate points towards the title.

Positions third through sixth of the Division II standings went unchanged this week – with Mike Hansen of Alton, Iowa, in third; Jeff Strunk of Bethel, Pa., in fourth; Eric Richardson of Bakersfield, Calif., in fifth; and Travis Sharpe of North, S.C., in sixth.

John Moore of Granite Bay, Calif., made his way into the top 10 of the division for the first time this year – taking over the seventh spot this week after scoring his fifth with of the year at Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway on Saturday. Jonathan Bouvrette of St. Therese, QC., gained two positions this week, meanwhile, moving to eighth in the standings. Stacey Gerken of LaGrange, Ohio, and Robert Barker of Boerne, Texas, complete the top 10 of the Division II point standings.
