BURLEY, Idaho -- Heading back to Colorado National Speedway for the second time this season, Nick Lynch and the Lynch Mob Motorsports crew are ready to score another top finish in Round 10 of the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series, Saturday, July 30.
"We took a 6th place when we raced here earlier this season," says Lynch. "Now that I have a couple of races under my belt on this track, I think we can easily better that position. Our Mr. Gas Chevy is really running well and that is a large part of the battle. We definitely had the setup down pat when we raced here earlier and that will be a big help this time out. A good car, a top qualifying spot and a little luck and we should be good to go."
Currently ranked 8th in this season's point's battle, Lynch sits just 110 points out of the top five. "Our 6th place finish at Colorado Springs last weekend caused us to lose a little ground," explains the popular Burley, Idaho native. "But it is nothing we can't make up. There are five races left in this year's series and we plan to make everyone of them count. We are ready to continue our march forward."
Located just outside of Denver, Colorado National Speedway has been hosting races for the past 42 years. A great favorite with both drivers and fans, this dynamite 3/8 mile oval track offers incredible action from beginning to end. "It is definitely a fun track," says Lynch. It is good racing and extremely exciting for the fans. We are definitely geared up for this one.
Running 150 Laps for a total of 43.75 miles, competitors will qualify at 5PM and take the Green Flag for the United Power/Touchstone Energy 150 at 8:15PM.![]()
