After a successful test session on Thursday at the new Kentucky Motor Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky, Rich Woodland will return to the 1.5 mile facility for the July 2nd Kentucky ARCA 150. Woodland, who finished 9th in his last ARCA race on June 10th in Michigan, will be driving his own number 7 Rich Woodland Racing Chevrolet. Qualifying will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday with the race starting at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The weekend will include IRL testing for their upcoming race in August.
This will be the second race weekend for the facility which opened just two weeks ago with the running of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The 100 lap Kentucky ARCA 150 will be televised on Speedvision at a yet to be determined date in early July.
This race will mark the return of former Rich Woodland Racing crew chief
Craig Shinn who was brought back as a chassis consultant to work with
current crew chief Calvin Humphries. The next race for Rich Woodland
Racing will be July 22nd in Michigan with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck
