Tracy, California -- The SRL Wild West Late Model Shootout has already completed eight of twelve races on the 2005 schedule. Fortunately for the SRL fans of the San Joaquin Valley & the Bay Area three of the final four events will take place on Altamont Raceway & Arena’s fast half-mile racing facility. This will be the second of four stops to track that sits in the rolling hills of the Altamont pass just west of the city of Tracy. Saturday night’s 100 lap SRL event has over 20 cars pre-registered.
Jason Fensler continues to lead the Championship standings with just four races remaining in the 2005 season. Fensler won the previous event at Altamont Raceway & Arena on June 18th. Ken Boyd of Ceres, California is fourth in the Championship standings. Boyd trails Ermish by four points as he looks for his second victory of the season. Two-time winner Eric Schmidt of Roseville, California will look for his second win in a row Saturday night. Schmidt swept the both races at Mesa Marin Raceway this season and wants to continue his momentum at Altamont.

Bolin is hoping for another top ten finish Saturday so he can take the ninth position over in the standings by his lonesome.
