Lexington, North Carolina - - Bootie® Beer Racing officially announced today the promotion of crew member Jason Reitenauer to handle the reins of car chief on the No. 1 Bootie® Beer Ford Taurus effective immediately.
Reitenauer, 28 will link hand-in-hand with Bootie® Beer Racing crew chief Barry Owen for the remainder of the 2005 ARCA RE/MAX Series season. Reitenauer is no stranger to racing. Prior experience for the North Carolina native includes duties at Rich Woodland Racing, Rick Ware Racing, and Brad Kemp Motorsports.
“This is a win-win situation for the BBR (Bootie® Beer Racing) team,” said the driver of the No. 1 Bootie® Beer Ford Andy Belmont. “Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this key position in our industry and we are looking forward not only to the rest of the season but a strong 2006 season as well.”
Barry Owen nods his car owner statements. “Jason meets the criteria for the job. He always gives his best and always is looking out for the team. He is definitely an asset to the Bootie® Beer Ford and we are looking forward to a winning relationship for years to come.”
Jason will assume the responsibilities of car chief officially beginning with Friday’s Hantz Group 200 from Michigan International Speedway, the 17th event on the 2005 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule.
