PIKES PEAK UNOFFICIAL RESULTS

FOUNTAIN, Colorado-- Steve Portenga scored his second victory of the season in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series - with a win in the NAPA Auto Parts 150 at Pikes Peak International Raceway on Sunday.

Portenga inherited the lead on lap 132 from series rookie Spencer Clark, who slowed with mechanical trouble after dominating much of the race.

Portenga held off Scott Lynch in the late stages of the event to notch his sixth career series. Johnny Borneman finished third, followed by Mike Duncan and Brett Thompson. Rounding out the top 10 were Tim Woods III, Mike David, David Gilliland, Sarah Fisher and Tim Smith.

In just his fourth race in the series, Clark started on the outside of the front row and led 73 laps. Alternator problems sidelined the 18-year-old on lap 132, however.
