KITE'S STREAK CONTINUES AT PIKES PEAK

Fountain, CO -- Jimmy Kite brought home his seventh consecutive finish for the Ethanol Hemelgarn Racing team this weekend at the Pikes Peak International Raceway's Honda Indy 225.

The #91 Ethanol-sponsored Dallara/Toyota/Firestone entry started 20th for the second time in two weeks after struggling in practice on Saturday. The team made changes in the morning practice and throughout the race making the car better as the race progressed.

In a race that lasted just under 1 hour 28 minutes and saw only one caution, opportunities to move up the grid were few and far between. However, with good pit stops and strong driving, Kite did manage to pick up three spots and finish 17th.

"It's a shame our finish wasn't better," Kite said after the race. "We had a good car all day. This is the second best car we've had all year; last week's car in Kentucky being the best. We just didn't get any breaks. There weren't any yellows. It was fun, but..."

This was Kite's ninth IndyCar start of the year since replacing the rookie Dana, who was injured practicing for the Indianapolis 500. The Ethanol Hemelgarn Racing team will be back in action at Chicagoland Speedway in Joilet, IL on September 11th. The race will be broadcast live on ABC at 1:30 Eastern Time.
