LAKEPORT, CA..... Divisional champions were crowned at the Lakeport Speedway Saturday night as the 2005 points season for the Northern California Racing Association came to an end.
In the modified division it was Terry McIntire of Kelseyville claiming his second consecutive championship. Aaron Hicks finished second (again) and Todd Coburn was third.
Kelly Gray of Clearlake took top honors in the mini stock points battle. This is Gray's first championship. Finishing second to Gray is rookie driver Billy Shaul, and 15 year old Richie Schramm, Jr. was third.
Lakeport's Kyle Medina earned his first championship in the modified bomber class, with 2004 champ Charlie Collins finishing second and Mike Neilson taking third place.
And in the bomber class, Scott Griffin of Lakeport aced out Jimmy Sorrels by only 10 points to win that championship. Eric Johnson finished third.
All Lakeport Speedway champions will be honored at the 41st NCRA awards banquet on November 19 at the Robinson Rancheria Casina banquet hall.
