DUNCAN DOES IT AT ROSEBURG

ROSEBURG, Oregon -- Mike Duncan became the first driver to score three victories this year in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series with win in the NAPA 200 at Douglas County Speedway on Saturday.

Several competitors mounted serious challenges, but none were able to wrestle the top spot away from Duncan as they circulated around the flat half-mile paved oval.

He pulled away in the final laps over last year's event winner Scott Lynch. Steve Portenga was close behind in third, followed by David Gilliland and Tim Woods III.

With his win, Duncan was able to trim Lynch's lead in the championship standings to just 33 points with two races remaining on the 2005 schedule.
