Yakima, Wash.-- Thirty-six drivers from all over the area are expected to return and compete at Yakima Speedway in the Super Late Model Division of the Fall Classic 200 this Sunday. Owner Ted Pollock and promoter Ron Bennett rescheduled the race for this weekend after rain quenched the hopes of getting the show in last Sunday. To give the Super Late Models time for last minute adjustments and prepare their pit area for the race after unloading, the exciting Fall Classic Street Stocks will get a second chance to run a show for the fans before the 200-lap race. Last weeks rain checks will be fully honored at the gate for admission and a discount will be given to those fans that didn’t make it to last Sunday’s show. Street Stock qualifying will begin at 1:00 with racing to follow. Past Fall Classic winner and division champion Pete Harding will see if his son, Shane Harding, can continue the family winning tradition of winning his first Fall Classic. If other Super Late Model drivers couldn’t make it last week, they are invited to start at the back of the pack. The Super Late Models have qualified to line up in the following order:
