EAGLE, Idaho -- Race fans will see some of the best weekend warriors in Southwest Idaho on Saturday night at Idaho Motor Speedway for the X Tober Classic open competition.
Drivers from both IMS and Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls with hit the 3/8-mile paved oval in classes such as 7-Up Street Stocks, Automotive Collision Tech Super Stocks, Limited Late Models, Grand Nationals and Pony Stocks. The latter two divisions are regulars at Magic Valley.
Hornet Fest III, presented by Pirate Powdercoating, will feature Ted Nicholes of Nyssa, Ore., trying to clinch the 2005 Super Hornets track championship as well as that division's Rookie of the Year award. The race was postponed because of rain last weekend.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. with qualifying at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets are $9 for general admission, $2 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and younger get in free.
Other division finales in the ESI Speedway Modifieds, 240 Sportsman and Treasure Valley Late Model Championship will be made up at a later date, according to race organizers. All three finales were rained out on Oct. 1.
