NICK LYNCH ON A MISSION

BAKERSFIELD, California -- The instant Nick Lynch hears his spotter call, Green, Green, Green at Round 13 of the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series, Saturday, October 15 at Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif., he will be on a mission - a mission to move up another spot in this year's points battle.

"There are just two races left in this season's schedule," says the Burley, Idaho contender. We sit in 7th place and it sure would be nice to be able to move our Mr. Gas Chevy up another one or two spots. Mesa Marin has not been overly good to us in the past, but I'm hoping that we can make our mark this time out. Especially since it is the very last time we will ever race at this popular little track."

Lynch, who scored his first pole at the last race at Shasta Raceway Park, has scored four top five finishes in the last five events. "Our Lynch Mob Motorsports crew has been delivering really good cars," says Lynch. "And, I know they will do the same for the StarNursery.Com 300. My whole crew is basically from Bakersfield and if there is a race they want to shine at, this is it. Doing well this weekend would really make their day and that's what I plan to do."

While Mesa Marin Raceway may not have been good to Lynch, it is actually a track he likes. "It is really a fun place to race," says the tall, athletic twenty three-year-old. The action is fast and exciting, plus you can run both high and low. You really have to fully concentrate the entire time because even a momentary lapse can easily sideline you for the day. I tend to like tracks that make me think and they give me that extra incentive to do well. While we just haven't had good luck there, but I have a feeling that that is all about to change. If I or anyone on our crew has anything to say about it, we will definitely be there at the end."

Running 300 Laps for a total of 150 miles race action will get underway at 6:00 PM on Saturday night.####
