
BAKERSFIELD, California --Bill McAnally Racing’s #20 NASCAR Select by NAPA Filters/Domino’s/Office Depot team with driver Sarah Fisher will be taking the green at the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series race at Mesa Marin Raceway. Fisher and the #20 NAPA Filters team look to get their first win at the 13-race season ending race. Fisher is currently running in 12th in the chase for the series championship title with three top-ten finishes this season.
This will be the final opportunity to record a NASCAR West Series win at Mesa Marin. The historic ½-mile track will be closing following the Ford Motorcraft Parts150 presented by 3M race on October 15th. The race is the final race during the track’s traditional October Classic Weekend and will be televised live on HDNet.
Fisher and the #20 NASCAR Select by NAPA Filters/Domino’s/Office Depot team has been one of the rookie teams this year. Fisher came to the NASCAR West Series as part of a driver development program between Bill McAnally Racing and Richard Childress Racing. She is also a part of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program which gives minorities opportunities in NASCAR.
“Driving for BMR in the West Series has been a great experience for me,” said Fisher. “I’ve learned a lot and I feel that I understand the car much better with each race that we’ve run. I’m looking for a better finish then our last visit to Mesa Marin. During the race in the spring, I got my first flat tire which was an experience. The #20 BMR team has done a great job and we’re looking to run up front this weekend.”
The Ford Motorcraft 150 presented by 3M will run on Saturday, October 15th following the NASCAR Southwest Series race and will be televised live on HDNet at 8:30 pm PST. The race will be shown in an enhanced replay on November 11 at noon PST. Check your local listings.
