ANDREW LEWIS NOTED IN NGND

ANTELOPE, California --NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series rookie driver has won the Sunoco Rookie of the Year title for 2005. Adding to the honor, Lewis is also the youngest driver to acquire that record. Jason Small acquired the title and record in 1999 at the age of 20 years, 5 months. Lewis is 18 years old, 8 months.

“This is amazing,” said Lewis. “I wondered if I was the youngest to hold the rookie title. I’m speechless. I would like to thank my parents. They have been the biggest supporters of my race career since my first race at age seven. Thank you also to Bill McAnally and Bill McAnally Racing for the opportunity to race in the NASCAR West Series. It’s been a great season and I look forward to whatever the future has in store.”

Andrew Lewis has been the driver of the #18 Bill McAnally Racing Chevrolet during the 2005 NASCAR West Series season. He finished the season 10th in the hunt for the series championship with over 40 participants competing in the division.
