San Diego, CA - -Taking the checkered flag under the lights for the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Motor Speedway Fall Classic Super Late Model Race at the Bullring was an exciting way to conclude the month of October for Nathan Wulff and the #18 Free Builders Supply team. When the #18 Free Builders Supply Chevrolet Monte Carlo cleared the post tech inspections, Wulff and his team were ready to celebrate their second place finish only to find themselves taking the win instead. Chris Clyne of Las Vegas was disqualified as the Super Late Model Champion at the Fall Classic after his car failed the post-race inspection.

Wulff qualified the #18 Free Builders Supply Chevrolet Monte Carlo fifth and by lap 20 of the 140-lap race had moved into fourth. By the time the red flag came out to signal the conclusion of the first half of the race, Wulff was running second on the board. During the 10-minute break, the Wulff Motorsports team went to work to make only a slight air pressure adjustment and took on fuel. The #18 Free Builders Supply Chevrolet Monte Carlo was neutral and needed no other changes. Back under way for the final 70 laps, Wulff challenged Clyne for the lead but unsuccessfully and took the checkered flag in second place.

“What a race,” said Wulff. “During the second half we fought for the front but we couldn’t get it done. We were running strong around the track but when it came to coming out of turn 2, we were loose and just couldn’t get past Chris Clyne. After the race, we went to the post tech inspection and we were cleared. The team started to finish loading up when an official came and got me to tell me that I was being awarded the win. I couldn’t believe it. The team did an awesome job all season and tonight was no different.” Wulff Motorsports would like to thank their sponsors Free Builders Supply, Schroeder Torsion Bars, Brillstein Shocks, Ron’s Rear Ends, Watkins Engine Development, and Speed Dynamics for their support through out the race season.

“I don’t know what the future holds yet for next season,” continued Wulff. “I am definitely open to any opportunities coming my way. I am actively looking for a ride so we’ll see what happens.”####
