O’CONNELL & SPEAKMAN END ASC ROAD RACING SEASON AT BUTTONWILLOW

NEWPORT BEACH, CA-- The team is coming off a season high performance at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Ca. where the #59 Taleo of Mexico Chevrolet driven by O’Connell was dominant. On race day, the #59 team broke the ASC track record in qualifying, was pole position for the race, led all laps of the race and was unofficially the race winner. Kevin O’Connell commented, “ this team has been very competitive all year in the ASC series, its frustrating to realize that we have not won more of these road races. This is our first time at Infineon and the entire team led by Barry O’Brien, Rick Toth & Roy Montgomery have given Mike and I fast race cars as well as key communication during the races. This series next year should have more cross over NASCAR drivers in it which will make it even more competitive, which is what we want.”

The team heads to ButtonWillow in Central California for the season ending race for ASC. Michael Speakman will drive #67 Taleo of Mexico Chevrolet and Kevin O’Connell will drive the #59. In anticipation of next the 2006 ASC series, the team will be building a new car for Michael Speakman and move Scott Calvin into the #58. All of Team OCM’s cars will be Monte Carlos.

At the SEMA convention in Las Vegas this month, O’Connell & Speakman met with several constructors in an effort to determine what type of racecar to campaign for the Rolex series. As of the close of SEMA and after much discussion the team has decided to have two (2) purpose built Chevrolet Corvette racecars prepared for the Rolex Grand Am GT series in 2006. The team will issue a press release disclosing the specific constructor at the end of November.####
