Ready to grab the brass ring for the second year in-a-row, David Starr and the Spears Motorsports team journey across country to the Valley of the Sun and Phoenix International Raceway for Round 24 of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Friday, November 11.

"We had a good run in Texas last weekend," says Starr, who finished 4th and gained another position in the point's chase. We took the win last year at Phoenix and now we want to put our Spears Chevy Silverado in the Number One spot again in this, the next to the last event in this year's Series."

A consistent top finisher, Starr's passion for racing is ever present, as is his determination and motivation. "The desert is one of my favorite places to race," he says with obvious enthusiasm. "I love the area, the weather and the track. It is a fun place to visit and I always have a good time. The track is very different than most of the tracks we visit. You can run two wide, but you have to have a good handling truck and a bunch of horsepower. Our Spears Chevy Silverado is a great handling truck and our Hutter engines definitely deliver superb horsepower. If you add in the outstanding ability of the Spears crew, then you know we have everything we need to take our second win at this track. All that remains, are the words, Green, Green, Green."

This year's Silverado 150 will mark Starr's fifth appearance at the popular Phoenix course. "This weekend fields all three of NASCAR's top series," says the Texas native, "and that makes the track atmosphere electrifying. Knowing that all those teams and fans are watching adds an extra special incentive to shine and that is definitely what we hope to do."

Qualifying for the 150 Mile/150 Lap Silverado 150 takes place on Friday, November 11 at Noon (ET) and race action gets underway at 8:00 PM (ET). Be sure and watch live qualifying on TruckSeries.com and then tune into SPEED TV for complete race action.####
