Westcar Late Model Series promoters Jeff Macey and Phil Perry have announced the general membership meeting to be held December 3rd at the Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville, Ca.
Westcar burst onto the West Coast racing scene with a nine race schedule in 2005. Throughout the season of competition at both Champion Motor Speedway in Carson City, Nv and at All American Speedway in Roseville, Ca, the series saw amazing parody among its drivers.
When the dust settled the series had eight different race winners in its nine races with Gary Glenn of Orangevale, Ca the only repeat winner.
Byron Gonzales of Carmichael, Ca triumphed over 52 points earning drivers to take the championship. Gonzales was awarded more than $4000 in cash and prizes at the series championship banquet last month at the Peppermill Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nv.
The December 3rd meeting will be held at noon in the Garden Room.
Westcar is currently looking for sponsors for its 2006 racing season as well.
The series schedule, expected to have 12 dates and feature most of the prominent tracks in Northern California, will be released soon.![]()
