
LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air will sponsor the No. 26 Ford of 18-year-old Spencer Clark for the second-consecutive season. The team will compete at the Copper World Classic NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) Sunday. In addition the team plans to compete in six NASCAR Busch Series races and one ARCA RE/MAX Series race.
“I am honored that Allegiant Air has remained on board with our team. We have a great partnership and high expectations for 2006,” Clark said. “I look forward to starting this season at Phoenix. Chris Deiderich of PTP has returned as my crew chief and we have had great success at Phoenix.”
The Copper World Classic marks Clark and Diederich’s third start at PIR in the AutoZone West Series. Last year the pair qualified fifth and second with 14th and fifth-place finishes, respectively.
The Allegiant Air-sponsored team plans to compete at Phoenix, Nashville, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Indianapolis and Memphis in the Busch Series and at Kentucky in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.
