ANTELOPE, California -- Piloting the #18 BMR Chevrolet is NASCAR Grand National Division (NGND), AutoZone West Series rookie driver Eric Hardin. Bill McAnally Racing will be fielding three contenders for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year title in 2006. Hardin’s racing resume includes the SCORE International Off-Road Series and the NASCAR Dodge Super Truck Series. The United Rentals 125 will be Hardin’s third race in the NGND Autozone West Series and first appearance at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR).
“I really like PIR,” said Hardin. “It’s a fast track and I’m looking forward to racing there.”
Leading the team will be veteran crew chief of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Ron Hearidge.
“The team’s strategy for our first race is to cruise the first half and stay out of trouble,” continued Hardin. “We know that we need to take care of the car in order to be where we want to be at the end… running up front.”
Hardin would like to thank his sponsors Embee Performance, Inc. and Black Maxx Truck Racks for all their support. A special thanks to Hardin Buick Pontiac GMC who have been proudly serving the Anaheim California community since 1957.
The United Rentals 125 NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series race will run Sunday January 22 at Phoenix International Raceway as part of the Annual Copper World Classic Weekend.
