
ANTIOCH, California -- Oval Motorsports Inc has secured the Kings County Fairgrounds Speedway and will begin promoting auto-racing events at the Hanford Ca. race track as soon as the necessary repairs are made to the facilities. John Soares Jr, President of Oval Motorsports and promoter of Antioch Speedway also announced that Mike McCluney will assume the position of General Manager at Kings Speedway. McCluney comes to Kings by way of Watsonville Speedway where he held the position of Event Coordinator for the past three years.
All 2005 Kings Speedway racing divisions will return in 2006. There are no significant racing or technical rule changes planed. Opening day is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of April 21st and 22nd. More information and a complete schedule of events will follow in the next week.
