MADERA, California -- Madera Speedway gears up for the approaching 2006 season by releasing their 23 event schedule spread over eight months, beginning in March and concluding in October with a possible event in late November. The schedule is described by Speedway Vice-President, Rick Cameron as, “Aggressive. Our schedule offers race fans the opportunity to see close, competitive racing by many types of racecars”.
As the season approaches to Opening Day on March 18th, Madera Speedway is pleased to introduce the Selsor Construction Demolition & Trucking Street Stocks, the return of the intense open wheel competition of the Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) Midgets, and the return of the United States Auto Club (USAC) Midgets, Sprints and Ford Focus Midgets. The nationally televised ASA Speed Truck Challenge will make an inaugural pit stop in our community on July 15th, as the ASA Pro4’s will make three (3) scheduled appearances. The Speedway is honored to be the home of the California Asphalt Sprintcar Association (CASA) and the elite SRL Wild West Late Model Shootout, which will make four (4) visits, including the “Girl Scout Night at the Smokey Hanoian Classic 100” on April 1st. As fans will enjoy the division diversity to including the fastest most unique WSSRL Supermodifies, which will make three (3) stops to the track including the “Vukovich 50 Classic” on May 6th. The high octane 360 supermodifieds, Toyota Sedans, MST’s, the Pick-N-Pull Hornets and the legends will all make the starting grid in 06’.
The introduction of the Jaylons Salon for Men Speedway Street Team is exciting and will be cruising throughout the San Joaquin Valley in the official Madera Auto Center pace car stocked with promotional giveaways. Approach the Speedway Street Team to receive your winnings before the checkered flag drops on October 28th.
While management accelerates to excel fan’s expectations, we are currently recruiting for many positions throughout the facility. Those trained to join our Track Safety Team, concessions staff, Internships in journalism and web design, and those interested in working in motorsports are encouraged to apply.
Tryouts for National Anthem Singers and musicians are being held on Saturday, March 4th at 2:00 PM and those wishing to be Trophy presenters are encouraged to apply online.
