Greg Pursley of Newhall (Calif.) powered to the LA Street Race Bud Pole - again and he broke his previous record in doing so. Craig Raudman and Jim Inglebright were fastest in practice, yesterday, but today it was all about Pursley, as he captured his third pole in as many races. No one, but Pursley, has ever claimed the pole since the Featherlite Southwest NASCAR Touring Series ran the inaugural event in 1998.
The top 32 qualifiers along with four provisional drivers will start the LA Street Race tomorrow, July 16. Provisionals will go to No. 4 of Sean Woodside, the No. 81 of Scott Lynch, the No. 44 of Bobby Lyon and the No. 7 of Frank Maronski.
