AVONDALE, Arizona -- Andrew Myers came out on top following several late-race restarts to win the Casino Arizona 150 at Phoenix International Raceway and score his first career victory in the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series.
Myers and series rookie Peyton Sellers waged a fierce battle down to the wire, after swapping the lead several times on restarts following cautions late in the race.
The final of 10 caution flags led to a two-lap dash to the finish, with a green-white-checkered finish extending the race to 153 laps. Myers waged a side-by-side battle with Sellers, before pulling away slightly for the win. Sellers crossed the line in second, followed by Mike David. Eric Holmes was fourth, with Steve Portenga in fifth.
