HATCH AND YOUNG SWEEP VEGAS

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- United Nissan teammates Lee Hatch and Darren Young finish one-two at the Bullring Saturday night contesting the second race of the season for the ASA Speed Truck Series.

Hatch, driver of the No. 03, qualified on pole to set the tone for the night going on to win the trophy dash and the 101-lap main event. Sporting a new number and new team this year, Hatch has kept his two-time series championship driving skills in check for another season of fierce competition.

“I love coming to Vegas to race,” replied Hatch. “I want to thank Don Forman and Lee Keach for the opportunity to drive for United Nissan. I’m glad I was able to bring home the pole and win tonight for the team and sponsors. I’m grateful for all of Greg Knight’s hard work preparing my truck and I also want to thank Chris Hines for his help with the chassis set up. I couldn’t ask for a better teammate than Darren Young, we race clean and we work well together. I’m excited for the 2006 season and hope I can have many more nights like tonight.”

Young, driver of the No. 18, qualified 8th and charged through the field to score the second finishing position of the night. After winning the first race of the season at Orange Show Speedway, Young kept the momentum going strong to maintain the series championship points lead for the team.

“It’s great to travel to the home city of United Nissan and have a showing of a first and second place finish.” replied Young. “Just shows how well our team works together in such a short time. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season with Lee Hatch and sharing information between the two of us.”

The United Nissan Team would like to thank their proud sponsors of the No. 03 and No.18: Boulder Auto Body, Terrible Herbst, Canyon State Oil, Simply Signs, Monarch Promotions, Ever-Ready Glass, A.J. & Associates Insurance Agency, The Jewelers and Dings.

Hatch and Young will trek to Irwindale Speedway to contest the third race of the season on Saturday, May 13. For more information on the ASA Speed Truck series log onto www.speedtruck.com.####
