LAKEPORT, California -- Two big nights of auto racing are set for Memorial Day weekend at the Lakeport Speedway as the INEX Corporation holds it’s 9th Annual Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino Legends Cars Spring Nationals on the one-quarter mile paved oval at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
The 3-day event will offer practice on Friday, May 26 from 4 pm until 7 pm with first round qualifying and a 20 lap legends car main event after practice. Saturday, May 27 will see the drivers compete in second round qualifying and a 30 feature event. Sunday rounds out the weekend with a 40 lap main event. All three features are points races for the Legends Cars, and Sunday’s event is a qualifying race for October’s INEX Asphalt Nationals which will run at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Georgia.
The Spring Nationals will be held in conjunction with the regular racing program of NCRA modifieds, bombers, street stocks, and the Pro-4 modifieds. Sunday’s action will conclude with the "Fiberglass 500" boat race.
Gates open both days at 5:00 pm with racing at 7:00. Admission price is $11.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors (62+) and students, $5.00 for children (6-11 years) and kids five and under get in free. For further information on the Memorial Day racing schedule, call the speedway office at 274-2844.
