DS RACING HEADED TO YAKIMA

MONROE, Washington -- Travis Bennett started off the 2006 NASCAR Autozone Elite Division with a 4th place finish at Meridian Speedway and is now headed to Yakima Speedway with the same goals in mind.

The DS Racing Team is focused on consistency this season and that was evident in Meridian. With an 18th place qualifying position, Bennett had some work to do, but slowly worked his way through the field. Moving from 18th to 4th, Bennett also received the Powerade "Power move of the race" award.

"We had a great race car at Meridian. I had a long ways to come from, but it was pretty fun being able to pass cars and race like that. I had a great time out there and those are the kind of finishes we need," said Bennett.

Moving on to Yakima Speedway for the second event of the final season of the Elite Division, Bennett is looking to repeat his top 5 finish from Meridian and continue his march up the points ladder.

"As proved before, consistency really does pay off so we are just looking to qualify good and run up front and keep getting these top 5's. If we do that, everything else will fall into place," said Bennett.

An important factor to consistency is being prepared and Travis Bennett feels he has that with his DS Racing team.

"I feel really comfortable and confident knowing who works on my car. All my guys put 100% into this team and that puts me at ease knowing I have a great car week in and week out. I couldn't ask for a better group of guys," says Bennett.

A special thanks to Rich Pak Motorsports and Gary Collins with Collins Motorsports for all of their support and dedication to Travis Bennett.

Travis Bennett would also like to thank Bowmans Electro Painting, Knudson Lumber, Matco Tools and Catlin Electric for making the 2006 season possible.####
