RICHARDS WINS LMCS AT STATELINE SPEEDWAY

Richards passed race leader Zamora on lap 22 and went on to his first LMCS victory. At the victory celebration Richards said “I like this series and will be back.” The race was slowed by six cautions and a red on lap eighty. The red was needed when Corey Wolf (Ronan, MT) went off the track and out into the pit area where he made contact with a track vehicle. Driver was OK although the car is a different story.

Last year’s LMCS Champion Zamora had his best finish of the season and was elated at victory circle. He stated “it is an honor to finish behind Richards and my season is turning around.” A real crowd favorite Thompson is having a good season and he tried to talk over the large loud fan base to say “it is top finishes I am looking for and the wins will come.”

The afternoon started with 28-cars attempting to qualify with the top sixteen being locked into the 100. After the qualifying was completed it was a mere 3/10 of second that separated the sixteen. The last chance main was won by Scott Davis. Twenty two cars started the 100 and at the end of 100-laps 18-cars were on the lead lap.
