Northern California driver, Kyle Cattanach has made the cut to the final 20 wild card positions in a new racing reality show titled, "Racin' For A Livin'". The month of July will feature an internet vote for these 20 grass root racers with the top 5 going to the next level of competition.
The top 5 Wild Card drivers will then compete with an additional preselected group of 15 drivers for the 12 spots on the show. Veteran drivers such as Harry Gant, AJ Foyt, Ward Burton, and Derrick Cope will determine who the top 12 will be.
Drivers will compete with lap times, how they handle car set-up, and the stress of NASCAR life. One driver will be eliminated each week, but they will remain on the show to race against the drivers still in competition. The winner of the show will compete in 7 races in at the Busch level in 2007. With David Gilliand's Busch win, it shows that the grass roots racer can win!
