The afternoon qualifying sessions started with the Legend Cars and Kyle Clegg set quick time with a 19.129 lap. Chris Eggleston was second quick and third quick was Terry Plummer. Davin Fisbeck set quick time in the Sportsman division with a 17.964 lap. Andy Lewis was second quick and JimBob Rogers was third quick. In the Pro Trucks Richard Burton circled the track in 16.753 seconds to set quick time. Beau Kellogg was second quick and Mike Bowen was third quick. In the Figure 8 division, Joe Matlock set quick time with a 28.199 lap. John Johnson and Dennis Stepanich were second and third quick. In the Grand American Modifieds, Ed Vecchiarelli was quick time with a 16.758. Second quick was Ed Vecchiarelli Jr and third quick was Joel Hansen. In the Super Stocks Mark Neff was quick time with a 20.315. Emett Grazier was second quick and third quick was Joel Sidell. Joe James Jr was quick time in the Sportsmans with a 16.157 lap. Second quick was Scotty Backman and third quick was Chris Archer.
Cris Muhler and Ronnie Hults were on the front row for the Late Model trophy dash. Muhler led the first lap over Hults and Rick Smith. Muhler continued to lead with Hults and Smith battling for second position. Chris Archer and Bruce Yackey were fourth and fifth. Muhler took the win with Hults, Smith, Archer and Yackey rounding out the top 5.
Meggan Healy and Bob Peck were on the front row for the Legend Car main. Peck led early with John Baker spinning on the first lap. Phil Peconi spun to miss Baker and John Jolly missed Baker by inches. Peck was leading when Darrell Stewart, Greg O’Donnell, Chris Eggleston, and Randy Zimmerman all tangled in turn 1 for a lap 2 caution. Kyle Clegg pulled into the infield and Danny Medina shot into the lead on lap 3. Brittney Johnson stopped in turn 4 on lap 7 for a caution. Medina led Chris Eggleston, Terry Plummer, Mike Webber and Scott Miller on the restart. John Chiesa was fourth on lap 10 with Webber back to fifth as Clegg rejoined the race. On lap 12, Mike Webber spun in turn 1 for a caution flag. Brian Zimmerman spun in turn 2 on lap 14 and rejoined the race before the caution flew. On lap 19 Justin Davis moved into fifth when Miller got stuck behind lapped traffic. On lap 22, havoc broke loose when Medina, Eggleston, Plummer and the lapped car of Luke Sweckard all slammed into the back-stretch wall with tires flying everywhere. After the wreck was cleaned up it was turned into a 2-lap shootout. Chiesa led Davis, S Miller, Baker, and Rick Rusk. Chiesa held on for the win over S Miller, Davis, Baker and Rusk. S Miller, Davis and Rusk were disqualified in post-race inspection. In the official rundown, Chiesa won over Baker, Brent Miller, Tim Hindman and Greg O’Donnell.
The Sportsman main event had the front row of Adam Gastineau and Tommy Roe bring them to the green. On the first lap, the field bunched up going into turn 1 and Craig Holmes slammed into the wall. Roe jumped out to the early lead with Rick Hunt, Eric Blackard, Lee Kemmit, and JimBob Rogers following. On lap 5, Kemmit moved into third and Davin Fisbeck moved into fifth. After 10 laps Roe still led Hunt, Kemmit, Fisbeck and Blackard. John Baker moved into fifth by lap 20 as the front 4 cars were all together. Roe got trapped in lapped traffic on lap 24 and Hunt went to the lead. Kemmit followed into second over Roe, Fisbeck, and Baker. Contact with John Baker in lapped traffic sent Davin Fisbeck hard into the turn 3 wall for a lap 27 caution which turned into a red flag. Back under green Kemmit chased Hunt and got by him on the last lap to take the win. Hunt was second over Roe, Baker and Andy Lewis.
The front row for the Pro Truck main consisted of Steve Johnson and Jeff Stevens. On the second lap, Billy Harkins had help getting loose and was hit by several trucks and Richard Burton spun. Mike Bowen was pushed off the track and was back before the restart. Steve Johnson led and then on lap 4 Adam Deines and Rick Runkle tangled on the front-stretch and resumed before the caution was thrown. Billy Harkins took the lead on lap 5 with Paul Deines, Chris Leaf, Beau Kellogg, and Nick Williams in tow. On lap 16, P Deines took the lead as Harkins fell to second over Leaf, and Bowen. Contact from Leaf sent Harkins spinning for a lap 18 caution. Harkins got his spot back and Leaf was sent to the rear. Bowen took second on lap 19 and by lap 20 P Deines led Bowen, Harkins, Burton and Kellogg. On lap 24 contact from Runkle sent A Deines spinning in turn 2 for a caution. P Deines held on for the win over Bowen, Harkins, Burton and Kellogg.
The Figure 8 Main event had Mike Steward and Justin McKeachie on the front row. Mike Wolfe Sr led early over Mike Steward. Randy Grubb got spun from third and Al Duran ran over another car to miss Grubb. Wolfe Sr continued to lead over Harry Bragg, Phil Taylor, Al Duran and Dave Smith. Smith spun on lap 8 and Justin McKeachie was again the star of the show. Bragg took the lead then pulled off handing the lead to Al Duran. Dennis Stepanich was now second over Ronnie Hults, Joe Martinez, and Wolfe Sr. Joe Matlock spun through the X to miss Justin McKeachie. John Johnson spun on lap 14 and continued. Caution flew on lap 15 when Stepanich and Grubb tangled. Stepanich was sent off the track and Grubb was out as well. Duran continued to lead Hults, Martinez, Wolfe Sr, and Phil Taylor. Wolfe Sr was spun from his awesome run on lap 17. Duran took the win over Hults, Martinez, Johnson and Harry Livermore Jr.
Mike Castagno and Jeff Purvis were on the front row for the Grand American Modified main event. Purvis took the early lead over Forest Smith and Jon Lincicome. Terry Tjarks spun in turn 2 and resumed before the caution was thrown. By lap 20, Purvis and Smith were battling for the lead with Lincicome, Adam Shrove, and Ed Vecchiarelli round out the top 5. Smith broke on lap 22 as Lincicome was now second over Shrove, Joel Hansen, and Ed Vecchiarelli Jr as Vecchiarelli Jr pulled off. Shrove took over second and started shooting sparks and smoking on lap 28. The finish was shuffled as Lincicome spun and Purvis won over Vecchiarelli, the smoking Shrove, Justin Case and JD Gresham.
Jeff Walbaun and Mario Garramone were the front row for the Super Stock main event. Walbaun took the early lead over AJ Grasso and Garramone. Garramone fell way back and Dave Miles moved into second. Dennis Edwards was second on lap 10 with Miles, DJ Neff, and Chris Vieth in the top 5. Bruce Borchardt broke on lap 13 and pulled off. The main on the move was Mark Neff from the back of the pack. Caution flew on lap 15 when Borchardt stopped at the track exit. Edwards took the lead from Walbaun on lap 16. Edwards now led Walbaun, Vieth, DJ Neff, and Emmett Grazier. Mike Cox broke on lap 21 leaving fluid all over turns 1 and 2. Joel Sidell spun in the fluid and James Minor just barely missed Sidell. M Neff joined the top 5 on lap 22. Edwards took the win over Vieth, Walbaun in a great run, Grazier and M Neff.
Darren Crocker and Bear Lynch were on the front row for the Late Model main event. As the field came to complete the first lap, Rick Smith, Chris Archer, Bruce Yackey, Darren Robertson and Mike Hannah all tangled. Smith and Archer pulled off and Yackey ran in the back of Robertson under caution. Yackey was black-flagged and Crocker led on the restart over Bear Lynch, Dave Finley, Chris Eggleston and Ken Walter. On the restart Lynch jumped into the lead as Crocker fell to second over Eggleston, Finley and Walter. Caution flew on lap 13 when Mike Hannah spun twice. Dan Savage blew up and laid oil down the front-stretch for a lengthy clean up. On lap 23 Randy Gastineau, Ronnie Hults, Brian Pacheco, Darren Crocker, Darren Bucklen and Robertson all tangled in turn 2 for a lengthy clean-up. Crocker got loose in the speedy dry in turn 2 and spun sending cars crashing and spinning. On lap 31, Roger Avants got in the speedy-dry and spun. Robertson and Smith regained the race under the caution. Eggleston pulled off on lap 41 as Lynch led Finley, Cris Muhler, Ronnie Hults and Scotty Backman. By lap 70, Backman was third as Lynch and Finley started a battle for the lead. Finley took the lead on lap 72, as Lynch fell to second over Backman, Yackey and Muhler. Lynch spun from second on lap 87 putting Backman into second over Yackey, Muhler and Hults. Finley took the win over Backman, Yackey, Muhler and Hults.
½ Fool and Plum M.T took off in the lead in the Trains until Termin-8-or took over on lap 8. Termin-8-or won over ½ Fool and Plum M.T, Steel Dragon, Santa’s Express and Galloping Goose.
