ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY TO PRESENT ACTION FROM FIVE DIVISIONS THIS SATURDAY NIGHT.

When the Orange Show Speedway opens its gates this Saturday night, July 8th, fans will get treated to action from five different division ranging in everything from full sized, and powered, Super Late Models to three quarter midgets racing on the paved quarter mile oval located at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino.

Headlining the evening will be the ASA Lenos Rico Taco Super Late Models. The premiere division, at the Orange Show Speedway, currently features a very tight points race between two drivers. Ron Overman goes into Saturday night as the series points leader with 172 but that's only two markers ahead of Glenn Cummings.

The highly popular ASA Stock Ponys will also be on hand at the Orange Show Saturday night. This mini stock division, comprised largely of Ford Pintos, is a fan favorite because of the way they run wide open while racing side by side. The division also has a very tight points race as well. Adrianne Murlin leads the standings going into Saturday night with 230 points. Jim Mardis is only six points behind her in second while Matt Goodwin hold down third just 8 points behind the leader.

The ASA Pro 4's will also play a major part in Saturday night's racing action. This division features full size stock car bodies powered by four cylinder engines. What they may lack in overall horsepower is made up by their light weight and that allows them to fly around the Orange Show's quarter mile oval at speeds compatible to a fully powered Super Late Model. Don Minut has been the hot shoe of this division so far this year and leads the points standings with 148. David Gibson and Sam Newcomer are tied for second in the standings with 126 points each.

The ASA Sport Compacts will also see racing action this Saturday night. This division is for American and foreign made subcompacts and is considered a very affordable entry level into racing. Drivers Art Ramirez and Tony Dumont are tied, at 188 points, in the series standings. Not to be overlooked here is driver Jim Holland who is third in the standings with 174 points.

The special guest division this Saturday night will be the National Midget Racing Association, NMRA, Three Quarter Midgets. This regional touring division maintains a regular schedule at tracks located in the western states and always puts on a thrilling show with their open wheel side by side racing.

Put it all together and you've got another super racing evening at the Orange Show Speedway featuring a wide variety of racing divisions. The spectator gates open at 5 pm and the racing gets underway at 630 pm. You can dial up the speedway's official website, www.nosevents.com, for information.####
