DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – What may appear to be a runaway train streaking across the Midwest is Donny Reuvers attempting to pull away from his competition in Division IV of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series.
With 10 victories already under his belt this season, Reuvers holds down the top two spots in this week’s Division IV rankings. The Dundas, Minn. driver is ranked twice in the standings, by virtue of leading the NASCAR points at both facilities where he competes – Raceway Park in Shakopee, Minn., and Elko (Minn.) Speedway.
Reuvers, who captured the Division IV championship and both track titles last year, tops the this week’s standings with 898 points.
Making their way back into the top 10 of the standings this week are Ron Barker and Guy Caron. Barker, of Dubuque, Iowa, leads the NASCAR points at Farley (Iowa) Speedway and is fifth in the division with 596 points. Caron, of Lempster, N.H., tops the NASCAR points at Twin State Speedway and is seventh in the NDWS Division IV standings.
