MONROE, Washington -- Saturday July 15 at Evergreen Speedway Shane Harding won for the fifth time this season in six starts. Even though point leader Doug Davidson (finished second) has not had a main event win he has maintained a consistent finishing position. In his first appearance of the season Vince Conwell finished third.

Harding’s fifth win in the Speedway Chevrolet NASCAR Super Stock Division was different than the previous four where he dominated the division. In fourth leader Kelly Mann had mechanical trouble sending him to the pits for repairs. Harding was now up to third when an incident involving the first and second place drivers opened the lucky door for Harding. Tom Moriarity also making his first appearance of the season was behind Naima Lang when there was contact sending them both spinning. That is all that Harding needed.

Lang and Moriarity got together again later in the 75-lap main with Lang being sent to the pits by the officials. Seventeen cars started the main.
