DAYTONA BEACH, Florida -- For the second consecutive week, the lead has changed hands in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Division IV standings. A week ago, Connecticut’s Jeff Malave edged ahead of Minnesota’s Donny Reuvers for the top spot. This week, Malave lost the NASCAR points lead Thompson (Conn.) International Speedway, to Woody Pitkat, who jumped to the top of the NDWS Division IV standings.

Pitkat, of Stafford Springs, Conn., now tops the NDWS Division IV standings with 998 points. He and Malave are locked in a fierce battle this season in the Sunoco Modified class at Thompson. Pitkat is coming off a fourth-place finish at the 5/8-mile high-banked paved oval in Thompson, while Malave finished seventh in their most recent outing.

Meanwhile, Reuvers, of Dundas, Minn., retained the second and third positions this week. He is ranked twice in the standings by virtue of leading the NASCAR points at both facilities where he competes – Raceway Park in Shakopee, Minn., and Elko (Minn.) Speedway.

Also making his way back into the top 10 of the NDWS Division IV standings this week is Mark Day, of Clarksville, Tenn. Day, who was bumped from the top rankings two weeks ago, is sixth in the standings this week with 754 points.
