The pavement driving ace of USAC's Western Racing series moonlights as a professional driver on a closed course as stunt driver Hunts recent movie work will again hit a theater near you this week with the opening of Talladega Nights "The Ballad of Ricky Bobby". "We spent over a month in Charlotte and ran laps for the movie at several tracks including Talladega", said Hunt. "I was involved in some of the sequencing of crash scenes along with the on-track racing footage." Hunt will gather with friends and family to see the the finished product for the first time Friday night. Due to the nature of the film industry – Hunt says you never know where you might show up on screen when the movie is being edited. "I would say 90% of the time I was in the M&M #38 car but that may or may not be where to look. We'll just wait and see Friday night." Saturday morning Hunt is off to Boise, Idaho for the USAC Western Sprint Car event at Meridian Speedway. Hunt whom drives the #4 Alan Kaiser owned Thompson's Toyota / Redline Oil / Paul Oil / Eagle says the track is the tightest and flattest venue that we go to. He adds, "Meridian Speedway resembles the standard tracks you see around the local high school football field." Hunt enters the race as the 2006 series points leader with four wins in eight 2006 races. He also leads the CASA point standings, 'The Best In The West' Series and the Earl's Fast Qualifier Championship. His win last weekend at Altamont MotorSports Park was the 40th feature win in his USAC career. He will be challenged this weekend by local Meridian masher Mike Murgoitio, and his Rookie of the Year candidate teammate Bradley Galedrige plus Rocky Mountain Region points leader Jimmy Wysong.
