NICK LYNCH HOPES FOR HOMETOWN GLORY

Burley, Idaho -- Hoping for hometown glory, Nick Lynch is ready to put his Mr. Gas/Budweiser/ROCKSTAR Chevy on the podium at the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Northwest Series at Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls, Idaho, Saturday, August 5.

"We raced here a little under two months ago," says Lynch. "And, we really struggled. It was one of those race days that you just want to forget. However, those type of days teach you a lot and this time out we should really be good to go. Everything is in readiness and we know we have a good crew, a strong Chevy and excellent horsepower from Watkins.

A familiar figure at Magic Valley Speedway, Lynch knows precisely what it takes to win. "I have won a number of races here over the years," he continues. "It's a tight little track and you need to be right on your toes every second. There is absolutely no room for mistakes and the racing is pretty intense. Any little miscalculation can easily spell the end of your day. As with every small track, qualifying is all-important. The further up you are on the grid, the better off you are."

An extremely determined young man, Lynch has been competing for the past seven years. Beginning his career at Magic Valley, he took home A.R.T.S. Rookie of the Year honors and the 2000 A.R.T.S. Championship before moving onto the NASCAR Southwest Series and Grand National West Series. Ending last season in 5th overall in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series, Lynch is running a limited schedule of events this year and search for a sponsor to run a full season in 2007.

"While I love racing at all the different tracks," says Lynch, "Magic Valley Speedway is really special to me. When we compete here, the stands are filled with all my family and friends. It is the only time many of them get to see our race team and that sure adds a lot of incentive and makes it even more fun. The action at this track is non-stop and the show is always good for the fans. All I need now, is a big smile from Lady Luck and we will be right up there where we belong.####
