
SAN BERNARDINO, Caliornia -- Race fans were treated tonight to cooler weather as the drivers heat up the track. Six different main events highlighted a night that resulted in a few bumps and bruises in the very first trophy dash, INEX Bandoleros - Bandits driver Jack Madrid #91 in a turn 4 incident was able to come away with minor injuries.
Starting off the evening in our first main events were the INEX bandelors in two 15 lap races. In the Bandits division, finishing first was the #19 Jeremy Birch, coming in second is Tyler Fabozzi # 6, rounding out the top three was Arron Anderson #44.The young guns hit the track going full throttle, coming in first place was #9 Jimmy Rouse, taking second is Andrew Anderson # 4 and rounding out the top three is the #99 Brent Scheidemantle.
INEX Legends take the track with a 21 car count to battle it out with a 25 lap main. Starting in the third row was #07 Austin Murphy, taking the chase to the finish line and the checkered flag. Second is #32 K.J. Garrison followed by Darren Amidon #33, taking fourth place is #29 Chad Schug and rounding out the top five is Albert Flores #02
.
A 20 lap main took center track for the ASA Golden West Tire Sport Trucks. Leading the pack for most of the race was the #50 Jim Edmiston, lap 17 brings out the yellow flag. Off to a tight restart the #50 keeps the lead to capture the win. Coming in second is #3 Ed Reid a close third is Spencer Samaro #6, fourth place went to #87 Butch Reid and rounding out the top five is Jeff Imbriani #43
The highlight of the evening was the Pro 4’s main. Sitting on the pole position is the #38 Kendall Schidecker followed by #12 Don Minut. Maintaining the lead is Schidecker and close second Minut. After a yellow, Kendall Schidecker and Don Minut got down to some good ole short track racing. Neck to neck, rubbing fender to fender until lap15, when Don Minut pulls away from the pack maintaining the lead and taking the checked flag. Second place went to #86 John Soares, third was Kendall Schidecker, finishing fourth #4 Sam Newcomer and rounding out the top five was #21 Kyle McGrady.
Closing the night was the ASA Super Late Models with a 40 lap main. Tonight’s action brought out 10 caution flags, Once the dust settled taking first place was the #22 Glenn Cummings, coming in second is Mark Shackleford #10, third place went to the #2 Ron Overman, fourth to Rick Chavez #19 and rounding out the top 5 is Greg Beresford #4.
August 12 will be Floppy Hat Night presented by C.H.P. and KOLA 99.9. The first 1,000 race fans through the gate will receive a free floppy hat.
