CORONA, California Clay Andrews Racing (CAR), the team the stunned the stock car world on a memorable night in Sparta, Kentucky, is not closing the doors entirely, it will operate Clay Andrews Racing Engine Development Program providing racing engine services to NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR Nextel Cup series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, ARCA and Dirt Late Model teams including the Pacific Coast Extreme Dirt Car Series.
“We are proud to announce the continuation of our Racing Engine Development Team,” said Clay Andrews. “Key personnel will stay in place and operate our Racing Engine Development program in North Carolina.” CAR remains the only unaffiliated, NASCAR Busch Series competitor to win a race this season when Gilliland took the checkered flag at the Meijer 300.
The Clay Andrews Racing Engine Development Team in North Carolina is focused 100% on tuning, testing and developing racing engines and offering maintenance programs in addition to rental services as well. The primary goal is to further advance engine technology in-house, using state-of-the-art CNC machining equipment partnered with many years of experience thus distancing Clay Andrews Racing from the competition and gaining a significant advantage over other NASCAR Series teams.
