DODGE NIGHT AT SRP

Dodge Night at SRP was packed full of exciting racing with trophy dashes, heat races, and main events in six separate divisions. The night started out with Hornets followed by the Mini Stocks next was the Bombers and then it was the Modifieds. The Legends and the Late Models came right after them. The featured winners for the night included Bo Nicholson for the Hornets, Paul Sabourin for the Mini Stocks, Joe Brattoli for the Bombers, Tom Berry for the Modifieds, Micah Parmer for the Legends, and Eric Gannon for the Late Models.

And in the start of the Hornets the course got messed up., but they kept going. On lap 2 it got a little out of hand, so they put out the caution flag. During lap 10 the top three cars were Bo Nicholson, Bill Swaney, and Jim Campbell. Throughout Lap 11 there was a caution put out, because Peter Smith couldn’t get his car to start. Bo Nicholson held on to first and won the race.

On lap 1of the Mini Stocks, Al Stelt hit the wall, and he got taken out of the race. On lap 2 Paul Sabourin took the lead. Soon after that, Bob Garrett and Scotty Murphy made contact. During the restart Robert Pearsall spun out, loosing his position. On lap 12, Bob Garrett spun out and caused a caution. Paul Sabourin was the winner.

During the beginning of the Schmitt Equipment Bombers, Joe Brattoli had a great lead on the rest of the pack. On lap 15, the top three cars are Joe Brattoli, Brian Smith and Cody Braund. The whole race ran really smooth with Joe Brattoli leading all. He kept the good lead and won the Bombers Main.

There was a caution put out on lap 6 of the Modifieds race, because there was debris on the track. On lap 15 the top 3 were Scott Sabol, Tom Berry, and Kevin Brink. On lap 16, the Sabol lost control of his car and dropped back to third place. Tom Berry lead the last ten laps and won the race.

The Legends race ran very smoothly. There was no wrecks or spinouts. I’m sure everyone was very happy about that. On lap 5, the top 3 were, Micah Parmer, Derek Copeland and Mackena Bell. Kavert and Bell were fighting each other for third, back and forth. On lap 15 the top 3 were Micah Parmer, Derek Copeland, and Zachery Kavert. Towards the end of the race Copeland caught up to Parmer, and it was a fight till the end. Micah Parmer pushed himself up there and won the race.

Throughout the 40 lap Late Model main event, not much damage was made. On lap 5, the top three were Bill Lancaster, Eric Gannon, and Randy Hirschbock. During lap 14, Scott Mcleod spun out causing a caution, and he spun out again on lap 18. The rest of the race ran smoothly. After stealing the lead from Lancaster, Eric Gannon won the race. RESULTS
