Brian Shaw recorded his first ever Road Runner feature win Wednesday night at Stateline Speedway to claim the top spot for the division. Shaw set fast time and out dueled point’s contenders Craig O’Neal and Chuck Davidson for the win during Wednesday Night Fever. Only four more races are left in the championship hunt.
Robert Bean captured the 15-lap B-Main over heat winner Darrin Meeks. Treven and Ryan Tarr, and Melanie Auckerman-Davis rounded out the top five. Other Road Runner winners included Jamie Allen, Russell Syverson, Leslie Runkle, Darin Meeks, and Corky Harbison.
Craig O’Neal continues to lead the Road Runner standings 23 points over Chuck Davidson in second.
Rookie Thomas Plybon scored his third Fever 4 main event win of the season passing race leader Mel Auckerman and holding off KC Garber in a last lap battle to claim the divisions 30-lap event. Auckerman won a heat race and led a majority of the feature but fell to sixth in the closing laps.
Cousins Colton and KC Garber lead the division’s standings separated by only four points with Colton out front. Mel Auckerman dropped back 22 points after the sixth place finish but still is within reach in third.
Keith Williams and Will Whitlow won the Bump to Pass races. Williams won the feature nudging by Whitlow while nudging past slower cars. The win was Williams’ ninth of the season.
The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues every Wednesday night at 6pm with Fever 4’s, Road Runners, plus the cars and superstars of the Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.
The Inland Northwest Super Stock Series returns for the last race before the championship showdown. The point’s battle is tied with Dan Garber sharing the top spot with Mike Behar. Andy Brown follows closely in third, within mathematical striking distance. NW Pro 4 Trucks and Hobby Cars are also on track. Qualifying starts at 6pm racing at 7:30pm.Adult admission is $13, Family Passes are $30 and admit two adults and up to three children.
