MYERS LOOKING TO TURN HEADS AT NEXT TWO BUSCH EAST SERIES RACES

With only two races remaining in the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series, Andrew Myers travels to New Hampshire International Speedway this weekend as he attempts to qualify for the Sylvania 125 NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series event Saturday. Myers will be piloting the No. 4 Toyota of Escondido - Red Line Synthetic Oil Chevrolet.

This race marks his second appearance at the speedway in a Busch East Series entry. In July, he qualified 12 th, led an impressive 18 laps, and finished 15th. Now with a better feel for the track, Myers returns with more experience and an optimistic outlook about his chances.

"I am really excited to be back at Loudon this weekend. With the confidence I have from leading some laps last time, I feel a lot more comfortable on the track and I'm looking to place a solid top-10 finish," said Myers. "Given the opportunity of racing at the same speedway as the [NASCAR] Busch and Cup drivers, I am hoping to impress some of the teams and owners with a strong performance."

The Huntington Beach, California native also enters this race with a familiarity for one-mile tracks. After winning the AutoZone West Series Casino Arizona 150 at Phoenix International Raceway in April, Myers is looking to use his previous one-mile experience on New Hampshire International Speedway's 1.058 mile oval.

For the two upcoming Busch East Series events, Myers and team manager Phil Bonifield welcome crew chief Timmy Kohuth. Kohuth has won 10 NASCAR truck events as crew chief for drivers Ken Schrader, Mike Wallace and Scott Riggs and is eager to work with Myers, a young driver he considers to have great potential.

"With Timmy joining us the next two weeks, we are looking to utilize his talent as an experienced crew chief. His successful racing background will help Andrew excel on the track and we anticipate him finishing in the top-10," said Bonifield. "With Loudon and Dover on the horizon, our ultimate goal is to get Andrew the recognition he deserves as a young and upcoming driver."

The Sylvania 125 NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series race will air live on HDNet, Saturday, Sept. 16 at 12:00 p.m. EST.

The next race for Myers will be the Busch East Series Dover 150 on Sept. 22, where he will make his debut at Dover International Speedway.
