Thirty-eight drivers from all over the area qualified to compete in the Super Late Model Division of the Fall Classic 200 this Sunday. Owner Ted Pollock and promoter Ron Bennett are showing why this award winning V-8 stock car race is so successful as 132 teams registered and entered the pits with some of those cars running in two different divisions. On Saturday the Hobby Stocks and Limited Late Models qualified and raced showing some of the excitement that is in store for the fans on Sunday. Mike Hill set fast time and won the Hobby Stock Main Event. In the Limited Late Model Division had Brandon Riehl set the pace and win the Main Event over second place finisher Jason Fraser and Yakima¡¦s favorite Eric Hargraves taking third. Street Stock and Super Late Models qualified on Saturday and will begin their racing at 1:00 on Sunday. Only two Past Fall Classic winners are competing. 2001 winner John Bender and 2003 winner Ken Kaltschmidt are hoping to continue their winning tradition and claiming that second win in the Fall Classic 200.
