#18 HARDIN-BUICK-PONTIAC-GMC TEAM FINISHES 13TH AT SHOWDOWN

ANTELOPE, California -- The #18 Hardin-Buick-Pontiac-GMC/DSN-TV team from Bill McAnally Racing with rookie driver Eric Hardin finish thirteenth in the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown. Hardin and the team began the qualifying race on the inside of row two. After leading two laps, Hardin was racing hard when contact was made between the #18 Hardin-Buick-Pontiac-GMC/DSN-TV Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS and a competitor sending the #18 into the outside barrier. The #18 spun across the race track before coming to rest on the bottom of turn one. With the safety improvements made at the track, Hardin and the other drivers involved were able to walk away from the incident. The #18 team went to work to ready the back-up car for the main event.

Hardin, starting in the back of the field of thirty, quickly moved the #18 Hardin-Buick-Pontiac-GMC/DSN-TV Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS through the field and by lap 12 had gained ten positions. By the break at lap 100, the #18 was seventeenth on the score board. Racing hard, Hardin would finish his first NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown in thirteenth.

“The car was tight all night,” said Hardin. “It was a great team effort getting the backup car ready to race. This is a great track with a lot of tough competition. It was very exciting to get to race with so much up and coming talent, the best of the best in NASCAR regional racing. Thanks to the guys at the shop at Bill McAnally Racing, Direct Shopping Network (DSN-TV) and Hardin-Buick-Pontiac-GMC for such a great rookie season effort.”####
