Concord, N.C. --After two seasons of managing the day-to-day business operations for Myers Racing, Phil Bonifield and Pam Lippard plan to restart their own team and race with a NASCAR Diversity Program driver in 2007. Bonifield and Lippard will base their team in Charlotte, North Carolina and compete in the NASCAR Grand National Division AutoZone West Series for the championship.
“We showed we could build a winner last year and now it is time for us to work for ourselves, said Bonifield. All our sponsors, Red Line Synthetic Oil, Meguires, and Safty Kleen are coming with us.” “After the season ended we looked at our options and this was the best way for Phil and I to continue to grow and improve, said Lippard. We think this NASCAR diversity program will be a winner too.”
Bonifield and Lippard plan to announce their new driver and sponsors in the near future. “The contracts are signed, we just are waiting for the right time and place to make the final announcement, said Bonifield.” " I think we will be very satisfied with the decisions that we have made for the 2007 season", said Lippard.
The NASCAR Grand National Division AutoZone West Series next race is in Kyle TX, March 2007.![]()
