Nashville, TNWillie Allen has been selected to drive the #13 Chevrolet Silverado for ThorSport Racing during the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. Allen will drive the entire 25 race schedule for the team beginning February 16th at the Daytona International Speedway. “It’s a dream come true for me to have an opportunity to race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and I’m excited to join the ThorSport Racing team,” said Allen. “It’s a super competitive series, with a great mix of veterans and up and coming drivers. I think it’s the best racing out there right now and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

ThorSport Racing, based in Sandusky, OH, is in its second decade of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition. The team fields two Chevrolet Silverado’s in the series, the #88 driven by Matt Crafton and the #13 to be driven by Allen. "We are very excited to have Willie as the driver of the #13 truck for 2007," said ThorSport Racing owner Duke Thorson. "He has proven that he has the ability to get the job done in this series and we look forward to a very successful year with him."

Allen worked his way through several karting series before moving on to drive Super Trucks and Late Models at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville. Within 4 years, Allen had won two NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Rookie of the Year titles and was on his way to becoming one of the hottest young racing prospects in the country. In 2005, Allen was selected to take part in a General Motors NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series testing session along with 13 other young drivers. Allen ended up running the fastest lap times of all the participants. The testing session led to Allen's debut NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race where he finished an impressive 6th at Martinsville.

Allen continued on in 2006 making the most of every opportunity he was given. A fourth place finish in only his second ARCA RE/MAX Series start at Nashville Superspeedway was next on the young drivers list of accomplishments. Allen again impressed the racing world and was recognized as a "Star of Tomorrow" by NASCAR Scene Magazine and a Top 10 Prospect by NASCAR.com. By the end of the summer, Allen had become the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Points Champion at the Music City Motorplex and finished 8th in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series national rankings. One of the biggest breaks of Allen’s career came near the end of 2006. In his debut NASCAR Busch Series race, Allen qualified an amazing fourth; once again proving that he can be successful in a sport that he has always dreamed of competing in.

The ringing in of the New Year brings a new challenge for Allen and a pay off for years of hard work. "There have been many people who have helped me along the path, from Go-Karts to Late Models, and I’m so thankful for that,” Allen said. "To reach this level is almost unbelievable to me. You’ve got to keep believing in yourself, and make the most of the opportunity when it comes. I’m confident that I can get the job done and I’m looking forward to proving myself in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. I can’t wait to get started.”
